Ministries

    Nursing Home Ministry

This ministry provides encouragement and support for those in nursing homes. This nation's many care facilities provide extended care for the physical needs of their residents. As ministry volunteers, we provide spiritual care not only for those who reside in care centers but also for those who are employed by the facilities. The author of Hebrews writes, “And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” (Hebrews 13:16).  If you like more information on how you can participate in this ministry ask Mrs. Brenda for more information.

       Bereavement Ministry

Losing a family member can be one of the most difficult and painful experiences a person will go through. It is important to have a solid support system of friends and other family members during such devastating times.  We work in conjunction with the local funeral home to offer an avenue of comfort in this time of difficulty.  If you know someone who needs encouragement or you want to join our encouragement team feel free to contact the church office.

 Team Kids Ministry

Our ministry team seeks to help the next generation hear the message of Jesus Christ and minister to their spiritual needs.  Our aim is to help them grow by encountering God, His works, and develop healthy lifestyles and relationships in a safe and fun environment.  They meet at 6:00 on Sunday night. In you would like more information on how you or your child can become involved contact Ms. Judy for more information.

Childrens Home Ministry

In an effort to help other local ministries, we have partnered with the Georgia Baptist Childrens Home. Once a quarter we gather needed supplies and deliver it to the Meansville campus and Good Shepard Camus. A list of what we are collecting can be found in the weekly bulletin. If you like more information on how you can participate in this ministry ask Mrs. Teresa.  Visit http://www.gbchfm.org/ for more information on the Georgia Baptist Childrens Home.

Discipleship Ministry

One of the most important needs in the church today is personal discipleship.  In the book of Mathew Christ calls us not to be disciples, or converts, but to be disciple makers.  So a good place to start is by learning what it means to be a disciple.  Here a West End Baptist we have many opportunities to deepen Christian convictions and also to ignite a stronger passion for encouraging others in how to follow Jesus.  Since the Bible is the clearest revelation of the character and will of God; it is the starting point for all biblical study and spiritual growth.  If you are looking for a place to deepen your walk with the Lord or are just interested in learning a little more about Jesus contact the Pastor to see where you can connect.  Some of our gatherings include:

  1. Sunday School (9:45 am)
  2. Sunday Night Bible Study (6:00 pm)
  3. Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting  (6:30pm)
  4. Men’s Bible study (3rd Saturday of month, 10:00am)

WEB Café Ministry

While eating is not really a ministry, the WEB Café helps to support other ministries in the church.  On the first Sunday of the month, our ministry team presents a delicious meal right after the Sunday morning service.  We hope you can join our fellowship.  "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31.

Prayer Ministry

As Believers, we understand the importance of Prayer. Thats why, in addition to we have a specific prayer ministry geared towards local schools and hospital staff. We also send letters to other churchs letting them know that we are in prayer for their ministries. We understand the value and encouragement that prayer can bring so we are happy to share. If you like more information on how you can participate in this ministry or know someone or group in need fo prayer ask Mrs. Brenda for more information.
